The Robert Jones Scholarship is now accepting applications from graduating High School Seniors and current College Students. This scholarship honors the legacy of Robert Jones, a distinguished member of the Central Florida Community, celebrated for his unwavering ideals, ethics, and morals. A proud alumnus of North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, NC, Robert Jones left an indelible mark on his community.
 

In 2025, the following scholarships will be awarded:
 

• Four (4) scholarships of $500 each for graduating high school seniors.

• One (1) scholarship of $1,000 for a current college student.
   

Award recipients will be honored during a prestigious ceremony, with details to be announced.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

• Resume

• Transcript (official or unofficial)

• Letter of Recommendation

• Headshot

• Essay addressing: "How will the Robert Jones Scholarship benefit you?"

  • High School Applicants: 500 words or more

  • College Applicants: 750 words or more

 

Essay Guidelines

• Font: 12 pt Times New Roman

• Spacing: Double-spaced

• Margins: 1 inch on all sides

• Each page must include the applicant’s name and essay title

• Word count does not include the applicant’s name and title
   

Application Period

• Opens: March 17th

• Closes: April 4th (Deadline Extended)

Open to students who attend a school in the Central Florida area. Eligible counties are listed in the FAQ document below.
